The Bible:
We believe the Bible is the Word of God (II Tim. 3:16), verbally inspired, (II Pet. 1:20-21), and wholly without error as originally given by God (Ps. 19:7-9). We believe the Bible reveals the person, nature, character, and work of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible reveals the essential history of man: his creation in the nature of God, fall into sin, status as a sinner before God, and his need for redemption (Prov. 1:7). We believe the Bible serves as a source of conviction of sinfulness to the unsaved and of their need for redemption (Heb. 4:12), and it is the supreme rule for faith and practice (Ps. 119:9).
God the Father:
We believe God is the one true God, existing eternally in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Dt. 6:4, Luke 3:22; Matt. 28:19; II Cor. 13:14). We believe God is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal being (Jn. 4:24, Jas. 1:17, Rom. 8:28, Ps 139:1-4). We believe He is the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe (Gen. 1:1, Ps. 130:7, Ps. 119:50, Jer. 32:17). We believe that God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections (Lev. 11:44, Mt. 5:48). God is all powerful and all knowing (Ps. 147:5). To Him we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience (Ps. 145:1-3).
God the Son:
We believe in Jesus Christ, God the Father’s only begotten Son (Jn. 3:16), who is the second member of the Trinity. He is the exact representation of the Father (Heb. 1:3), and shares equally in all attributes with the Father (Jn. 1:1). We believe in the virgin birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (Mt. 1:18-23, Lk. 1:26-35).
God the Holy Spirit:
We believe in the Holy Spirit, third member of the Trinity. He is coequal with the Father and the Son (Matt. 28:19), divine in His own right (Acts 2:4), existing with personality, being evidenced by intellect (I Cor. 2:11, emotion (Eph. 4:30), and volition I Cor. 12:11).
Man:
We believe God made man in His own image. He created them male and female as the crowning work of His creation. (Gen. 1:26-28).
Sin:
We believe that subsequent to man’s creation, he fell into sin resulting in spiritual death (Gen. 3:1-24; Rom. 5:12), and is in need of the new birth for his salvation (Jn. 3:3-5). We believe that man has been bestowed with value above the rest of creation (Gen 1:26-31). However, we believe that if left unchanged, man will remain separated from God eternally (Rom. 5:12). Therefore, we believe that there is hope of eternal life for all mankind through faith in Christ (Jn. 3-16).
Salvation:
We believe that salvation is a complete and eternal salvation by God’s grace alone (Eph. 2:8-9), provided through the substitutionary death of Christ (I Pet. 1:18-19), and received as the free gift of God (Rom. 10:9). We further believe that we have the promise of freely receiving all things from God (Rom. 8:32), that no one can level a charge against us before God (Rom. 8:33), and that nothing can separate us from the love of God (Rom. 8:38-39).
The Church:
We believe the church consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. We believe Christ is the Head of the Body -- the Church, which has been commissioned by Him to go into the world as a witness, preaching the gospel to all nations (Eph. 1:22-23, Mt. 28:19-20)). We believe the local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the gospel, and observance of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Acts 2:41-47, Mt 3:13-17, Mt. 28:19, Mt. 26:26-30, I Cor. 11:23-26).
End Times:
We believe Christ’s return to earth will be personal, visible, and is imminent to remove His Church from the earth (I Th. 4:13-17). We believe this is the believer’s blessed hope and is a vital truth which is an incentive to holy living and faithful service (Ti. 2:11-14). We believe in the resurrection of the unrighteous unto eternal punishment and the resurrection of the righteous unto eternal glory in the new heaven and the new earth (Rev. 20:11-15, Rev. 22:1-5).
